Good Saturday morning all !
September is coming to an end, and my favourite season is in the midst of beginning. This summer has been amazing, cray cray, and life altering. I am excited to be back in NYC after a brief stunt home to Canada, which was much needed. I am excited about returning to this blog after a long abandonment (sowwry). I am settled back here with a new job, a new outlook on life, and a new excitement for the future.
My internship at burdastyle.com turned into an amazing job opportunity, and now I am one of the managers, e-commerce developers, DIY masterminds, and design creative extraordinaires!
Here is a glimpse at my cute work station…
I have a wonderful view of midtown west Manhattan! I occasionally see a boat drift by in the distance
.
My latest endeavour at work is making the Matthew Williamson Dress from this AWESOME reversible skull fabric I found at Elegant Fabrics. Just yesterday I got a bright limegreen metal zipper that I will sew up the back. My friend went on to tell me that this dress will look “so Misfits” haha. I’m SO excited, and it will be perfect for October…being Halloween and all.
I am going to sew the main of the dress with the black side, and then for the side inserts sew the white side.
I snapped a quick pic of my breakie from Friday, because it was so DELISH. It features a lovely mug given to me from my dear friend back home:)
Just the usual greek yogurt mess, with granolie and bananies. YUM… and on the side a nice Starbucks coffee with a shot of espresso…it was Friday, I needed it!
On Thursday morning I went with my friend to the Yayoi Kusama exhibit at the Whitney Museum. I really wanted to go, and it was in its final week so we had to wait one hour just to get it ! But it was TOTES worth it. AMAZING exhibition from a crazy Japanese artist…so inspiring.
I couldn’t take any pics from the exhibit itself, so I took some pics of the lobby and café where her signature polka dots were displayed in ball form.
My friend took a quick picture of me there, I was wearing my thrifted silver shirt
After, I went back to the office and grabbed some amazing udon to have for lunch. I am ADDICTED to this stuff. But I do not like the way I slurp the noodles and the miso splashes in my face inability to use chopsticks.
My Friday night consisted of my grabbing Mexican grub, from El Centro and having a few brews in the East Village. Perfect night.
I concluded with a midnight 3:00 am snack, and watching an episode of All On The Line with Joe Zee
YUM… now I am off to Trader Joe’s, stupid idea considering it is CRAZZZZYYY on Saturdays.
TOOTLES !
P.S. checkout this cool video of a Megin’s Leggins customer wearin’ her leggings I made in a video. KEWL! (they are the electric blue ones
